Medgate, the leading global provider of occupational health and safety (OH&S) software, is pleased to announce GX2, the next major release of its OH&S software. Designed by OH&S professionals, Medgate GX2 offers powerful new features to enhance Medgate’s robust integrated OH&S data management platform.
The keystone underlying Medgate GX2 is a broadly enhanced safety software suite that will provide organizations with a complete enterprise-wide solution to manage safety compliance and programs. The release also includes enhanced environmental management features, a new ergonomics software suite, and robust new business intelligence functionality that will allow users to turn data into meaningful OH&S business information.

As with all Medgate’s previous releases, the development of Medgate GX2 was led by real-world OH&S professionals with valuable input from Medgate’s customer base of industry experts.
Below are some highlights of Medgate’s GX2 release:
- Business intelligence: In addition to Medgate’s current flexible reporting and dashboard capabilities, GX2 will include a data cube that allows companies to analyze target and actual metrics generated in the Medgate system, incorporate data collected in other systems and imported or entered into Medgate, and analyze data by HR reporting hierarchy, business units, or site tree hierarchies.
- Risk Assessment: This powerful new module will allow organizations and risk professionals to manage inventory of jobs/task/processes, collect task/hazard/control information, calculate pre and post control risk, implement preventive actions, conduct COSHH assessments, and perform ongoing analysis to continuously evaluate and mitigate risk. The module also connects with incident management for effective data sharing between the two functions.
- Compliance Management: With its new compliance module, Medgate offers the ability to manage compliance to legal and / or other requirements. This includes regulatory requirements, corporate requirements, and requirements of safety / environmental management systems such as OHSA, OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10, and ISO 14001. Permits can also be managed using this module.
- Ergonomics: In GX2, Medgate presents a new ergonomics suite. This suite will enable users to conduct ergonomic assessments using common tools (NIOSH, REBA, RULA, etc.), create and configure new questionnaires / assessment tools as needed, and effectively track ergonomic findings & actions.
